Due to the prevalent upper air cyclonic circulation over west-central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal off south Odisha now lying over south Odisha and its neighbourhood, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday predicted heavy to very heavy rain and lightning in several districts of the State during the next four days starting July 23.
The IMD has issued an Orange Warning in these districts between July 23 and July 27.
