A major financial scandal has rocked the Korukonda area of Malkangiri district, where a branch manager of Punjab National Bank (PNB) has been accused of embezzling lakhs of rupees meant for Self Help Groups (SHGs).
According to allegations, the bank manager, Mohan Kumar, siphoned off loan amounts sanctioned in the name of various women-led SHGs, promising them financial assistance.
