Bhubaneswar, Jan. 8 -- Governor and Chancellor of Universities in Odisha, Professor Ganeshi Lal appointed Professor Bidhu Bhusan Mishra as the Vice Chancellor of Sambalpur University for a period of four years.

The appointment will be in effect from the date he assumes office as such or until further orders whichever is earlier, stated an official statement of the Governor's office.

An alumni of IIM-Ahmedabad, Mishra retired as a Professor of Department of Business Administration from Utkal University on April 30, 2022. He served as a lecturer of Business Administration of Berhampur University before joining Utkal University.
