Bhubaneswar, Jan. 6 -- The Balasore district administration has imposed a series of pollution control measures after a sharp deterioration in air quality, making it the latest district in Odisha to enforce curbs following similar steps earlier in Talcher.

According to official orders, the District Collector has directed a complete ban on construction activities from 6 pm to 10 am. The move aims to curb dust emissions during the night and early morning hours, when air circulation remains low. While most private and residential construction is carried out during the daytime, the order is expected to significantly impact night-time roadworks and several government projects.
