Police personnel from Sagada outpost in Boudh district have been accused of assaulting a roadside dhaba worker and forcibly taking cash from the eatery on August 7 night.

According to the complaint, Sagada outpost Sub Inspector (SI) Chandan Jena and a few policemen in civil dress reached the dhaba around midnight and demanded food.

When a staff told them that the eatery was closed, the policemen allegedly assaulted the worker and took Rs 6,200 from the cash counter, sources added.
