India, March 1 -- In a breakthrough in the case involving the murder of Police Mitra Sahadev Nayak, Mancheswar police arrested one of the main culprits, Sushant Nayak from the Kanpur area in Cuttack district on Saturday.
The accused, who also goes by the name of Susei, was apprehended by police after remaining in hiding for weeks. He was wanted for his role as an accomplice in the murder, driving the two-wheeler in which the prime accused, Lipika Nayak, sat pillion and beheaded Sahadev.
Case background and Sushant Nayak's role:
Incidentally, in January, Lipika disguised herself as a man and sat behind Sushant on a motorcycle. The duo chased Sahadev with a machete for a distance before beheading him on the Rasulgarh-Vani Vihar flyover.
