The registration process for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) will officially close on May 15, informed Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Minister Rabi Naik on Tuesday. With just two day remaining for the deadline, the Minister urged all eligible individuals to complete their registrations without delay.
According to the minister, between 34 to 35 lakh people have already registered under the central government's flagship rural housing scheme aimed at providing "Housing for All". The scheme targets beneficiaries from economically weaker sections, scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, and other disadvantaged groups.
