A 45-year-old patient sustained critical injuries after allegedly falling from the second floor of the medicine ward at Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in Bolangir. The patient has been identified as Purnachandra Sahu, a resident of Kharselpada.
According to sources, the patient was admitted to the hospital's medicine ward on July 12. The incident occurred this morning when two iron plates installed for safety near the staircase reportedly broke, causing the patient to fall to the ground floor.
