Bhubaneswar, Nov. 24 -- In a decisive move to decongest major roads in Bhubaneswar, the Commissionerate Police on Monday imposed strict no-parking restrictions across several key stretches of the city. The action comes after growing complaints of haphazard parking, which has been disrupting traffic flow and causing daily inconvenience to commuters.
The restrictions have been enforced under the provisions of the Odisha Urban Police (OUP) Act.
The city police observed that indiscriminate parking along main roads had become a persistent issue, particularly during peak hours.
