Bhubaneswar, Nov. 11 -- Tension gripped Gandakipur Government Primary School in Kujang Block as parents and students locked the school gate and staged a sit-in protest on Monday. They demanded the return of their school headmaster and appointment of more teachers in the school.
The agitation began over a massive teacher shortage, with only one lady teacher managing nearly 90 students from Classes 1 to 5. Parents alleged that the lack of staff has seriously disrupted classes, leaving children without proper lessons or guidance.
