India has withdrawn its team from the Central Asian Volleyball Championship, to be held in Islamabad next month, following recent diplomatic strains.

The move comes after the tragic incident in Pahalgam on 22 April, where a terror attack claimed 26 tourist lives.

According to the Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF), India initially confirmed the participation of a 30-member squad, which included 22 players, for the event at the Jinnah Sports Complex starting on 28 May.
