Odisha's industrial landscape received a major boost on Thursday as Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated Tata Steel's Rs 47,599 crore expansion project in Kalinga Nagar in Jajpur district. Notably, this project alone is expected to generate 4,625 jobs.
The 5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) integrated steel plant expansion came amid a broader wave of 24 industrial projects worth Rs 1.15 lakh crore, collectively set to generate 36,000 jobs across the state.
