India, Feb. 3 -- The Orissa High Court on Monday ordered Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) to halt appointment of Multipurpose Health Worker (MPHW).
In September 2024, the OSSSC had declared the results of MPHW with an aim to fill up a total of 2753 vacancies across the state.
Several candidates had moved the court challenging the OSSSC MPHW recruitment. Hearing their petitions, the High Court stayed appointment of MPHW till further orders.
The court will hear the case next in the first week of March.
For the recruitment of 2753 female health workers, OSSSC had released an official recruitment notification on April 29, 2023.
