Bhubaneswar, Jan. 30 -- The Orissa High Court on Friday rejected a petition filed by Ollywood actor Anubhav Mohanty seeking dismissal of a criminal case lodged against him by his ex-wife and actress Varsha Priyadarshini. The court held that the matter should proceed in accordance with the allegations and the outcome of the police investigation.

The case stems from a complaint filed in 2020 by actress Varsha Priyadarshini, who is Anubhav Mohanty's ex-wife. Varsha had approached Purighat Police Station in Cuttack, alleging that Anubhav Mohanty and his staff forcibly entered her room and recorded videos. She also alleged that she was subjected to mental harassment while she stayed at Anubhav Mohanty's house.
