Bhubaneswar, Nov. 13 -- The Orissa High Court has cancelled the main written examination for the post of its Assistant Section Officer (ASO) held on July 13, citing concerns over the fairness of the recruitment process.

In a notification issued on Wednesday, Registrar (Examination) S.K. Dash Ray informed that the main examination will now be reconducted on December 7 for all candidates who had qualified in the preliminary test.

'Serious Doubts Regarding Conduct of Exam'

The ASO recruitment is a four-stage selection process. The preliminary exam was conducted on May 4 through an external agency, with 7,113 candidates qualifying for the mains.
