India, April 9 -- Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi unveiled a plan on Wednesday to fill around 12,000 vacant positions of policemen. The announcement came after his meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi.

The CM stated that the recruitment drive focuses on enhancing the State's law enforcement capacity.

During his time in New Delhi, the CM visited the North Block for talks with Union Minister Shah. The discussions primarily covered law and order issues, with a particular emphasis on addressing the staffing gaps within the police forces.
