Bhubaneswar, Oct. 18 -- Police in Odisha's Malkangiri district recovered the decomposed body of a young man from a pond near a crusher at Badaguda village under Pangam panchayat under Maithili block police station limits on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Bishnu Nayak from Rengabeda village under Kattapalli panchayat, who police said was allegedly murdered due to disputes arising out of one-sided love and jealousy.

Sources revealed that Bishnu was killed by another youth who was infatuated with the same girl he was in love with.

According to Malkangiri police, Deepak alias Binod Kumar, who had developed a one-sided love for a girl, plotted Bishnu's murder after learning that Bishnu too shared feelings for her.
