Odisha Youth Duped By Fraudster On Pretext Of Erecting Cellular Tower
Bhubaneswar, March 7 -- Nuapada: A youth named Subhash Thapa from Khamabahi village under Komna police limits was allegedly duped over Rs 1 Lakh by a fraudster on the pretext of erecting a mobile tower on his land.
As per reports, Thapa was contacted by the fraudster disguised as a representative of Reliance Jio three months back. He offered him to pay Rs 5,000 -Rs 7,000 per month if he allows him to erect a mobile tower of the company on his land.
The fraudster asked Thapa to send a small amount of money for necessary paper works, which he obliged by sending Rs 5000. Later he also managed to eke out more money amount to a total of Rs 1.17 Lakh from Thapa on various reasons.
