Bhubaneswar, Jan. 11 -- A young woman was allegedly murdered just three days before her wedding in an incident linked to a one-sided love affair in Odisha's Sundargarh district.

The crime has occurred on January 9, 2026, (Friday evening) in Gobira Girjatola slum under Kuanrmunda outpost of Biramitrapur police limits, police sources said on Sunday.

According to the official sources, the deceased has been identified as Sikha Sapna Kullu of Gobira village. She had stepped out of her parents' house on the intervening evening for some personal work.
