Bhubaneswar, Feb. 19 -- In a significant administrative action, Santoshini Dash, the Jailer of Kantabanji Sub-Jail, has been placed under suspension by the Director General of Prisons over negligence in duty and misconduct. The decision comes amid continued scrutiny following recent controversies linked to her tenure and transfer within the prison system.

Dash had earlier been transferred from Choudwar Jail to Kantabanji Sub-Jail after two dreaded inmates from Bihar managed to escape from Choudwar Jail during Dussehra.
