Bhubaneswar, Dec. 18 -- Angul witnessed a gruesome murder on Wednesday night after a woman was allegedly murdered by her daughter-in-law with the help of her own mother. The incident occurred at Khalari Gadapada Sahi, under the jurisdiction of Angul Sadar police station, triggering panic in the locality.

The deceased has been identified as Kuni Nayak. Her son, Kahnu Nayak, has lodged a complaint alleging that his wife, Sarita Sahu, along with her mother, assaulted and killed his mother. Based on the complaint, the police have detained Sarita Sahu and her mother for questioning and have launched an investigation into the matter.
