In a striking display of frustration, residents of Srikrishnapur village under Remuna block in Balasore district staged an unusual protest on Tuesday by planting paddy saplings on a muddy road that has allegedly remained neglected for years.
According to villagers, the road has been in a dilapidated condition for a long time, making daily travel extremely difficult.The situation worsens during the monsoon, when the road turns into a swampy stretch filled with slush and mud, disrupting movement of people, vehicles, and even schoolchildren.
