Acting on a tip-off, Odisha Vigilance on Thursday apprehended another government officer while accepting a bribe of Rs 6000 from a person at Rench under Nimapara block. The accused officer has been Manoj Mohanty, section officer, at the office of SDVO (Sub-Divisional Veterinary Officer), Puri.
Mohanty was taking the bribe for processing the withdrawal of EV (Electric Vehicle) advance in respect of the complainant and three others, the Vigilance report said.
