Bhubaneswar, Dec. 25 -- Odisha Vigilance on Thursday arrested Basudev Bhoi, Senior Revenue Assistant in the office of the Settlement Officer, Major Settlement, Sambalpur, in connection with a disproportionate assets case. He is scheduled to be produced before the Court of the Special Judge, Vigilance, Sambalpur, later in the day.

As per reports, the arrest followed extensive searches conducted by Vigilance officials at properties linked to Bhoi. During the operation, he was found to be in possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income, which he reportedly failed to explain satisfactorily.
