Bhubaneswar, Sept. 27 -- Odisha is unlikely to bear the brunt of a possible third wave of Covid-19 pandemic, said director of Health Services Bijay Mohapatra on Monday.

Speaking to reporters, Mohapatra said, "Even though the daily infection graph in the State has witnessed a marginal spike in the last few days, the situation in Odisha is better than other States."

"As per the Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC) director, around 73 percent people in Odisha have developed antibody against Covid-19. This is a very good sign that people from all sections including in villages are developing antibodies," he added.
