India, March 6 -- Odisha's primary education sector is set to embrace a significant initiative with the introduction of 'Shishu Vatika' beginning on April 2.

As part of the New Education Policy 2020, this programme has been tailored to enhance early childhood education across Odisha.

The announcement has been made by Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond on the social media platform X (earlier known as Twitter).

"As per the new Education Policy 2020, 'Shishu Batika' is going to be started in all primary schools of the state. From next April 2, 'Khadi Chhuan' festival will be organized in all primary schools," read the post.
