Bhubaneswar, Feb. 12 -- In a major step aimed at preventing fraud in land transactions, the Odisha government on Thursday announced that QR codes will soon be integrated into land patta (ownership documents). Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari shared that the move is designed to ensure transparency and eliminate cheating in the buying and selling of plots.

According to the minister, the new land pattas will be introduced jointly by the Central and State Governments. These upgraded documents will feature an electronic QR code containing complete details of the land, including ownership records and other relevant information.
