Odisha government has begun the process of administrative boundary delimitation, which is expected to be completed by December this year, ahead of the upcoming national census, said Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari on Wednesday.

Preparatory work for the delimitation of blocks, tehsils, and panchayats is underway. The State government plans to finalise all necessary restructuring - including creating new administrative units and splitting large blocks - before the census begins, Minister Pujari stated.

A commission will soon be formed to study and recommend the required changes. Standard guidelines and criteria have already been prepared ...
