Bhubaneswar, Jan. 22 -- Odisha's Prajnapan Medha (tableau) is set to be featured this year at the Republic Day parade in New Delhi, representing the State among 17 other states and union territories selected for the event, official sources said on Thursday.

The Union Ministry of Defence had earlier approved the proposed presentation, which is inspired by Odisha's rich artistic heritage.

The parade will also showcase Odisha's traditional Ghoda Nacha (one of the popular folk dances performed by artistes using the replicas of horses) alongside the Prajnapan Medha, highlighting the State's cultural vibrancy on a national stage.
