Odisha has been reeling under an intense heat, with day temperatures soaring above 44degC across several parts of the State on Monday. By 2.30 PM, Jharsuguda recorded a scorching 44.8degC, noting the highest temperature among different places.

Other places also faced extreme heat, with Sambalpur reaching 42.6degC, Hirakud at 41.8degC, and Rourkela hitting 41.2degC. Coastal regions such as Keonjhar saw 37.8degC, while Chandbali recorded 37.6degC, Balasore 36.2degC, and Bhubaneswar 35.2degC.
