Bhubaneswar, June 24 -- The Odisha government on Thursday cancelled Covid-19 vaccination at private hospital from the State procured vaccine doses.

In a letter to all district collectors and commissioners of municipal corporations, the State Health department directed all the concerned officials to stop the supply of and withdraw the stock of vaccines from private hospital across the State immediately.

Earlier, the State government was supplying vaccines to private hospitals as part of an extension of government CVC vaccination to ramp up the immunization drive in the State. The private hospitals were charging only service charges from the beneficiaries.
