In a gruesome incident, a youth was brutally hacked to death over the plucking of green coconuts in Puri's Mashanichandi Sahi area under the Baselisahi Police Station jurisdiction. The deceased has been identified as Kuna Behera.
Reports said the accused Lipun Bhoi and his accomplices stormed into Kuna's house and hacked him to death while he was asleep. The heinous incident has alarmed the region, with Baselisahi police rushing to the village to avoid any untoward incident.
