Bhubaneswar, Dec. 5 -- Odisha is witnessing a fresh bout of winter chill, with temperatures dipping noticeably across several regions. Kandhamal district reported a sharper decline on Thursday, as the mercury slipped below 10degC.
Daringbadi, the coldest location in the district, recorded a minimum temperature of 9degC. The hilly town, often dubbed the 'Kashmir of Odisha', is known for its early onset of winter, and this week's temperature pattern reflects the region's typical cold-season trend. Clear skies over Kandhamal contributed to the sharper fall, allowing rapid heat loss during the night.
