The Odisha government, on Friday, greenlit 19 industrial projects worth Rs 3,898.54 crore, expected to create 7,464 jobs across 11 districts. The approvals, granted during the 136th State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, span sectors like steel, logistics, tourism, and textiles, boosting the state's appeal as a top investment hub.
Leading the surge, Tata Steel will inject an additional Rs 700 crore to boost its Dhenkanal plant's crude steel capacity from 6.5 to 7.1 million tonnes annually, generating 375 jobs.
