Bhubaneswar, March 11 -- Odisha's longest-ever flyover bridge was inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik through video conferencing on Monday at Joda town in Keonjhar.

As per reports, the 2.98 kilometer-long flyover has been built at a cost of Rs 250 crore which was provided from the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) fund.

The construction work of the project was awarded to Odisha Bridge and Construction Corporation (OBCC). In 2020, the work commenced. The entire stretch of the flyover along with the approach roads with a span of 4 km and 487 metres starts from NH-520 to Sarankul Chhak. The road is as wide as 5.5 metres and can carry a maximum load of 400 tonnes.
