Rasmita Sahoo, a canoeing player from Odisha, found special mention in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 125th edition of his radio address 'Mann Ki Baat' on Sunday. PM Modi interacted with her while speaking about the recently held Khelo India Water Sports Festival.
During the conversation, Rasmita shared her inspiring journey from a small village in Odisha to becoming a decorated canoeing athlete.
"I started canoeing in 2017 and have participated in several National Championships and National Games. So far, I have won 41 medals, including 13 gold, 14 silver and 14 bronze," she said.
