Bhubaneswar, Dec. 1 -- An NCC cadet, who belongs to Bonda tribe of Odisha, has brought laurels for the state by successfully paragliding from an aircraft flying over 1200 ft high during a training programme in Agra.

The brave cadet has been identified as Lokinath Kirsani from Malkangiri district. Lokinath, who is a plus 3 final year student of Malkangiri College, is among the 40 cadets to be selected by the Indian Air Force from 14 lakh students across the country for a special training programme at Agra Airborne Training institute in Uttar Pradesh.

He was the only cadet from Odisha to be selected among the 40 cadets for the special training.
