Bhubaneswar, Dec. 12 -- OdishaCM Mohan Majhi will on Friday inaugurate the state's first Watermanship and Life Guard Institute along with the seventh edition of the Konark Eco Retreat, marking a significant push towards strengthening tourism infrastructure and emergency response capabilities in the state.

The Watermanship and Life Guard Institute has been constructed near Ramachandi Peeth by the State Fire and Emergency Services Department at Rs 12 crore. The institute aims to enhance professional capacity in water-based rescue operations and lifesaving skills.
