Bhubaneswar, Jan. 22 -- In a recent development, the hearing on the bail applications of nine accused persons, including Muna Mohanty, in the Odisha Police sub-inspector recruitment scam case was deferred by the courton Thursday. The matter will now be taken up for further hearing on February 16.

Muna Mohanty had moved the court seeking interim bail on health grounds. While considering the plea, the court did not grant interim relief and instead directed the jail authorities to ensure that Mohanty is provided with appropriate and adequate medical treatment during his incarceration.

The court also issued directions to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to apprise it of the current status of the investigation in the case. The agenc...
