Bhubaneswar, Oct. 15 -- A major recruitment scam involving the sale of 300 Sub-Inspector (SI) posts has come to light, with explosive revelations emerging from the Crime Branch sources. The scam, allegedly carried out under the watch of the Odisha Police Recruitment Board (OPRB), has exposed deep-rooted corruption in the selection process.

According to sources, not only were aspirants travelling by buses, but a large number also used trains to reach designated exam centres where arrangements had been made for them to cheat. While 114 candidates were apprehended from buses, another 186, who were travelling by train, managed to escape and are currently absconding.
