Bhubaneswar, Dec. 4 -- In an unusual and embarrassing development for Odisha Police, two officials from the Alakunda Police Station in Jajpur district were transferred after engaging in a physical confrontation over the preparation of a chargesheet on Thursday. The incident has raised serious concerns about internal discipline within the force.

The Superintendent of Police (SP) ordered the immediate transfer of IIC Debashis Satpathy and ASI Prakash Singh to the district headquarters. The decision came after reports confirmed that both officials were involved in a heated dispute that escalated into a physical altercation while handling a case chargesheet.
