Bhubaneswar, Nov. 27 -- Apollo Hospitals in Bhubaneswar successfully performed a cancer surgery using Transanal Minimally Invasive Surgery (TAMIS) for the first time in Odisha, removing a rectal tumour without the need for a conventional incision.
According to information shared by Apollo Hospitals on Wednesday, the procedure was conducted on a 52-year-old patient suffering from an early-stage rectal tumour, which had not been resolved despite treatment at multiple hospitals earlier.
