The Odisha government is preparing to reintroduce application and examination fees for candidates appearing in recruitment tests conducted by public service commissions and selection boards in the state.
According to The New Indian Express, the move comes over two years after the state scrapped all such fees in a bid to make government jobs more accessible to all sections of society.
This time, however, the model includes a conditional refund with a provision that candidates who appear for the exam will get their fees back, while absentees will forfeit the amount.
