Bhubaneswar, Feb. 16 -- In a remarkable display of faith and emotion, a young man undertook an arduous spiritual journey on the occasion of Shivaratri to mend differences with his girlfriend. The unusual scene was witnessed yesterday as Lokanath Dangari made his way to Kapileswar Temple at Ambadala in Muniguda block of Rayagada district by performing Danda Pranam.

Lokanath, a highly educated resident of Dangabadi village under Ichhapur Panchayat, is employed as an operator in a company in Chennai. Despite his professional commitments, he returned to his village and chose a path of devotion to seek reconciliation in his relationship.
