Odisha Man Held Captive In Kolkata For Ransom
Bhubaneswar, March 3 -- Balasore: A man from the district has allegedly been held captive by some miscreants at gun-point in Kolkata for ransom. The miscreants allegedly have demanded Rs 8 lakh ransom from the family members of the victim, identified as Tapas Mohanty of Keshapur under Soro Police station in the district.
Sukanti Mohanty, wife of the victim on Tuesday received a video clip purportedly made by the miscreants showing Tapas with hands and legs tied to a pillar in a hall. In the video, gun and an axe were seen lying near Mohanty.
Sukanti said that the miscreants have threatened to eliminate him if their demands are not met.
