Puri, Aug. 26 -- In a gruesome act, a man allegedly beheaded his wife over suspicion that she was having an extramarital affair. The shocking incident has been reported from Raiberuan village in Astaranga area of Puri district.
According to sources, the accused Ganesh Behera had been working with a private company in Chennai and had recently returned to his village. However, everyday he had heated arguments with his wife over a suspected extra-marital affair. Fed up with the frequent quarrels, Ganesh last night allegedly slit her throat with a sharp weapon killing her on the spot.
This wasn't the end. Ganesh then beheaded her and surrendered before Astaranga police with the severed head of his wife this morning.
