Bhubaneswar, Oct. 17 -- Three people lost their lives, and one was critically injured after a truck reportedly hit a bike from behind near the Malpura overbridge on National Highway 53 under Kamakhyanagar Police Station in Dhenkanal district this morning.

The victims have not yet been identified.

Eyewitnesses reported that a man and his two daughters were among the victims who died on the spot. The mother was rushed to Kamakhyanagar Medical in a critical condition.

According to witnesses, four people were riding a bike from the Bhuban area towards Kamakhyanagar when the truck struck them from behind. The collision was so forceful that the truck reportedly carried the bike nearly 150 metres along the main road before coming to a halt. ...
