Bhubaneswar, Feb. 24 -- A fresh twist emerged in the alleged rape case involving an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer, as his sister appeared at Sahid Nagar Police Station in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday and claimed that the accusations were fabricated.

She alleged that the complainant had filed false charges and stated that she had earlier lodged a complaint against the woman at a Mahila Police Station before the rape allegations surfaced.

The IRS officer's cousin sister (paternal aunt's daughter) further accused the complainant woman of conspiring to defame their family by making serious and damaging claims.
