Bhubaneswar, Aug. 23 -- The Odisha government will be making special arrangements for the treatment of children in all Covid hospitals in the State in view of the possible third wave of the pandemic, said Director, Health Services Bijay Mohapatra on Monday.

The top health official also informed that the State Government will set up a Covid centre of excellence at the Sishu Bhawan in Cuttack at the earliest.

"It is expected that the third wave of Covid-19 is likely to reach its peak in October. Around 23 per cent of the infected children will be hospitalised during the period. Odisha Health Department is fully ready to meet with any kind of eventuality," said Mohapatra.
