In a significant move, the Odisha government has decided to extend financial support for chariot construction and celebration of Rath Yatra at different places across the State. Financial assistance for these traditional events will be provided through the Law Department, said Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan on Friday.
The funding aims to bolster the festivities associated with Rath Yatra, especially those Jagannath temples which are under the administration of the Endowment Commission.
